Do you live and play in the Fayetteville/ Northwest Arkansas area? This is the newsletter for you! I find the family-friendly events in our area and add them to our calendar. I do the work, you get out & enjoy fun events with your family!
There are a lot of fun events coming up in the next few weeks in NWA!  I've been updating the calendar daily and adding more events, so check back often! I also spotlight events on our Facebook page, which you can find here: Macaroni Kid-Fayetteville, especially if it's a last-minute posting.
Congratulations to Donna Rackley of Fayetteville! She won the wonderful gift basket with $50 gift card from Chick-Fil-A Razorback Road! Thanks to all who entered. Be sure you check out the info on the "Cow Twins Birthday Party" celebration at that Chick-Fil-A location Friday evening! You can find the details here.
On Saturday, there is a free family festival in Prairie Grove to benefit 4 children who tragically and unexpectedly lost their mother last week. Their aunt has taken them in, but has 2 children of her own and now there are 6 children in one small home. The community churches have come together to put on this event in support of that family. The event is free with pony rides, dunking booth, free meal, barrel train, cotton candy and more but each family is asked to bring non-perishable donations for the Thompson family. Thank you so much to all of you who so generously helped me spread the word about this event through Facebook. I will be there with a free Macaroni Kid-Fayetteville kids' craft. You can find more info on the event here.  For those unable to attend who want to help, monetary donations may be made at any Bank of Fayetteville location to the Angela Thompson Memorial Fund.
On September 20th from 9:30-noon, I'll be hosting a Macaroni Kid Make a Difference Day "Be the Match" bone marrow registry drive. For people ages 18-44, it is now free to get on the registry, and only requires paperwork and a cheek swab. If you would like to volunteer to help with this event, please contact me. I am also looking for children's activities like face painting and balloon animal making to be provided for the kids who attend.
As always, you can send me event listings by using the "Submit event" button or right here, or email me at Karaa@macaronikid.com
