It all leads up to a new Doc McStuffins episode on Friday at 8:00 AM central where Doc puts all of her different skills to the test!
I was chosen as one of the lucky Macaroni Kid publisher moms to host a "Doc McStuffins: School of Medicine" preview party. I received a DVD with several of the new episodes and hosted a party for friends with preschoolers to check out the new season. I was compensated for hosting this event. Disney Jr sent each child a paper "Doc" stethoscope and "Doc" activity book & coloring sheet. We served doctor-themed snacks, like "cotton balls" (large marshmallows in a jar), Doc McStuffins fruit snacks, pretzel rod "thermometers" and Smarties candy as the "medicine". The kids loved playing doctor on their dolls & each other, and they were very entertained by the new episodes! In this season, kids will also learn about other careers like EMT's, eye doctors, dentists and more. My guests loved that there are real nurses, doctors & EMT's giving health tips during the episode.
We had a special guest, Tracey, a medical assistant from Dr Rob Karas' clinic who came to the party with a real stethoscope, thermometer & pulse ox and let the kids hear their own heartbeat & try out the instruments. We really appreciate Dr Karas sending her out to the party! Dr Karas owns Karas Urgent Care with two locations, one in Lowell and one in Fayetteville. They offer walk-in, compassionate medical care for all ages.
We had 20 kids attend the "Doc McStuffins" preview party and we had a great time! We look forward to seeng the rest of the new episodes this season. I love that Doc helps teach children about caring for others, and she appeals to all children!
Be sure to catch the new season next week!
