Northwest Arkansas Spring Break Camps & Activities 2016

Spring Break is just around the corner & if you are staying in Northwest Arkansas, it's time to plan the fun for that week for the kids. Check out this list of camps & fun activities available that week & if you sign up for one of these camps, tell them Macaroni Kid sent you!

Arts Live Theatre in Fayetteville will once again offer Spring Break camps for kids age 5-8 and 9-12. Each camp session will end with a showcase theater performance for friends, family & the public. No previous acting experience is necessary. Register by calling 479-521-4932, or download the registration form & mail with payment to Arts Live Theatre, P.O. Box 4362, Fayetteville, AR 72702.
Ages 5-8-  LET’S CREATE A PLAY TOGETHER!-Create your own play in this great camp! Students will perform a play the final day of camp based upon their own ideas and characters! Young actors will learn performance skills, the importance of working as a team, cooperation and collaboration! 10.30 am-11.30 am • $110 (min–5/max–10). Inst: Jules Taylor
Ages 9-12-  BROADWAY BOUND THEATRE! Spend each session learning material and developing singing and dancing skills which are essential for every musical theatre performer, and any student who is interested in becoming a well-rounded actor. Material from current Broadway shows will be performed in a public
performance the final day of camp! • 9 am–10.30 am • $130 (min–5/max–10). Inst: Jules Taylor
Ages 9-12- STAGE COMBAT! Boom! Bam! Pow! In this camp, young actors learn to slap, pull hair, a bit of sword work and to safely stage fight! Young actors will also learn performance skills, the importance of working as a team, cooperation and collaboration and give a public performance the final day of camp! • 11.30 am-12.30 pm • $110 (min–5/max–10). Community Creative Center will offer Spring Break Camp- The Colors of Spring for ages 6-8 & ages 9 & up. Join us for a week long colorful art experience inspired by the joyfulness of Spring. Your week will be packed full of vibrant, fun art that explores watercolor painting, drawing with soft pastels, mosaic sculptures, and mosaic flower pots for the garden. We will also explore and observe the outdoors with a magnifying glass and create close-up drawings of nature. Then we will spend the afternoon in the clay studio. Projects are designed to maximize the fun for campers of all ages. All students need to bring a sack lunch. $185. Imagine Studios will offer daily Spring Break art camps at their Rogers location for kids ages 5-12 .Each session runs from 9 AM till Noon and features a variety of projects. Register separately for each session HERE or by emailing Melanie at melaniehewins@gmail.com.  Snacks served daily. Bring your own drink. 
Monday: Ice Cream Fun Day
We will paint a ceramic ice cream dish plus do a watercolor ice cream painting.
Tuesday: Tie Dye T-Shirts
Each artist will make two tie-dye shirts using two different techniques
Wednesday: Spring Fling
Artists will paint a flower pot and plant spring flowers plus each artist will paint/design a wood birdhouse
Thursday:  Painting's a Hoot 
Kids will be painting a ceramic owl plus an owl canvas or door-hanger. 

The Jones Center-  Indoor pools complex and ice arena will be open extended hours. Swim, ice skate or both for just $3 per person! Enjoy a variety of your favorite characters all week long:

Ice Rink hours will run from 10am-8pm & Indoor Pool hours will be Noon-7:45pm.
