Our youngest, Kinley, turned eight years old on Sunday. When I asked her where she wanted her birthday party this year, her immediate answer was "Lokomotion!". We had her birthday party there last year and she and her friends had so much fun she wanted to have this one there as well! I was happy to hear it, because Lokomotion Family Fun Park in Fayetteville is not only conveniently located but makes booking and hosting a party so easy that it took a lot of stress off of me. This was truly one of the most fun parties we have ever had. Not only did the kids have a blast, the parents had fun too. I highly recommend Lokomotion for your child or teen's party. I wanted to write a review to let you know what to expect if you choose Lokomotion for your party venue. Booking a party is easy and only takes a few minutes. First, choose the party package you want, all of which include pizza, drinks, paper goods, arcade credits, and tons of fun! After reserving online, you'll be contacted by Lokomotion and will need to make a $50 nonrefundable deposit. Now, the only other thing you need to worry about is the cake! Lokomotion will provide birthday invitations, plates, napkins, utensils, and a party captain whose only focus is helping you with your party. Lokomotion even has cute tablecloths already on the tables and plates and cups set up when you arrive. You can add additional decorations if you wish. Kinley wanted a rainbow unicorn party, so I brought unicorn emoji plates & napkins and a couple of decorations.
Next, it's time for fun! Our party host was wonderful. She made us feel so welcome and made sure I had everything I needed when getting ready for guests to arrive. The party captain even made sure I had tape for hanging up birthday streamers and a lighter to light the birthday candle on the cake! I love the fact they have one host dedicated to your party because it ensures you will have great service the whole time. Not only did she explain all the options for attractions, she even took the kids around to the arcade games, which allowed the parents some time to chat!
The party room is yours for an hour and a half. We chose to first let the kids enjoy the games, then have pizza and then the attractions, before coming back into the room to open gifts & have cake. The choice is yours and you can customize the party to your wishes. With the birthday package, each child gets $5 game credit on a card. Lokomotion is tokenless so the child or parent can just swipe the card at each machine they want to play. You redeem the points on the card for tickets, which you can then redeem at the counter for fun prizes. The birthday child receives a $10 or 20 game credit, depending on which party package you choose, and 100 extra tickets, plus a cute Lokomotion t-shirt.
After everyone played games & enjoyed delicious pizza, the birthday girl got to choose 2 attractions she wanted to do with her friends. She chose Spin Zone (really fun bumper cars that spin), and bumper boats. The party host lined up all the kids in the Spin Zone and explained everything to them. The kids absolutely loved doing this! They had so much fun spinning the cars and bumping into each other and the host had a remote button she could hit to make their cars spin, which they all thought was absolutely hilarious. Finally, we headed over to the bumper boats outside. The boats have sprayers on them so the kids can spray each other with water while they ride if they choose to, which of course they did! :) I'd suggest having kids bring a towel if you choose this attraction because the kids in our group were soaked when they got off of this, but they laughed the whole time they drove the boats and had the best time! It's a beautiful, clean area with lovely blue water that makes it a great place to take fun pictures of the kids at your party. At the end, our host helped organize Kinley's gifts & the leftover pizza on a cart so it would be easy for us to load everything into the car after the party. From start to finish, she and the rest of the crew at Lokomotion made the party process so easy on me as the parent. The kids all had a great time and parents enjoyed the attractions and food as well. Lokomotion also has a mini golf course, lazer tag, and go karts, and all of these are choices your child can pick from for their guests to do with them. For this reason, I feel like it's a perfect place for a party for a kid of any age.
