Five Northwest Arkansas Restaurants That Make Great Wings

Americans expected to eat more than 1.3 billion wings over Super Bowl weekend

January 29, 2021

This Sunday is the biggest football game of the year, and that means one thing ... it's time for wings in Northwest Arkansas!

The National Chicken Council estimated that more than 1.3 billion wings were eaten during the 2019 Super Bowl weekend — and that number just keeps going up year after year.

Our area is no exception in our love for wings — and our Northwest Arkansas restaurants sure know how to make wings delicious enough we can't help but devour them down to the bone!

It seems everyone has their favorite NW Arkansas restaurants to order wings. We asked readers on our Facebook page their favorite local restaurants to order wings:

Wingstop

2 locations: 1237 W. MLK Blvd in Fayetteville (479-332-3000) and 231 N Walton Blvd in Bentonville (479-271-9933)

Wings we love:  I love the Garlic Parmesan. One of our readers said she and her husband love the Lemon Pepper. My husband likes spicy foods so he enjoys the Mango Habanero.

Foghorns Wings, Burgers and More

5 NWA locations: 1815 Green Acres Rd Fayetteville, 1545 W 15th St Fayetteville, 1100 48th Place in Springdale, 2221 W Walnut Rd in Rogers, and 1400 Hwy 412 in Siloam Springs.

What we love: They have 50 different sauces to choose from, including Garlic Parmesan, Cryin’ Hawaiian (pineapple with habanero), Raspberry Chipotle and Buffalo Bleu

The Rail: A Pizza Company

218 S 1st Street in Rogers; 479-633-8808

Wings we love: It may not have “wings” in the name but this place was nominated by several of my readers, with one noting that The Rail makes their own bleu cheese to go with them that is “to die for”.

Sassy's Red House & Sassy's BBQ & Grill

2 Fayetteville locations: 708 N. College and 1920 Steamboat Dr

Wings we love: Naked, hot, honey sriracha and BBQ. Wings are smoked fresh daily. Both Sassy’s locations have patio seating available.

Chick'N Headz Wings-n-Things

3162 W MLK Dr in Fayetteville. 479-435-9511 (in the lot with Aldi)

Wings we love: This place is new to NWA having just opened in Oct 2020, but was mentioned several time by my readers as their new favorite place for wings and judging my their Facebook page reviews, others agree. Their website lists 7 flavors ranging from homestyle to instance.

Enjoy some wings for Super Bowl Sunday or any other day and please tell them you heard about them on Macaroni Kid!
