Spring is the time a lot of us clean out closets and garages to make room for the new seasons. If your items are still in really good condition, why throw them away? We have so many wonderful local nonprofits and many great thrift shops that support their missions.
I asked Macaroni Kid readers their favorite nonprofits to donate to and here are eight of them with a link to the website of each:
- Peace at Home Family Shelter Thrift Shop- Benefits & supports the Peace at Home Family Shelter for victims of domestic violence.
- Life Ministries of Prairie Grove and Farmington- supports 100% volunteer organization that supports families in need with food, utility and clothing assistance
- The Shelter Shop in Rogers- provides customers the opportunity to purchase new and gently-used apparel, toys, furnishings, home goods and seasonal items while generating revenue to fulfill the mission of The Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter.
