The Jones Center Hosts New Interactive Exhibition in the Heart of Downtown Springdale

“The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Experience” Has Guests Thinking on their Feet & Laughing at Every Turn

The Jones Center is hosting a major hands-on, minds-on touring exhibition that offers a unique kind of interactive experience for children and families in the heart of downtown Springdale. The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Experience is a bilingual, STEM-based exhibition that engages all ages and abilities in active problem solving and hilarious, full-body play.

Need to land a plane, escape quicksand, or outsmart a mountain lion? The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Exhibition lets you put your real-world survival skills to the test, with plenty of laughter and excitement along the way.

The new exhibition opens June 10 through October 14 at The JTL Shop at the Center for Nonprofits, 614 E. Emma Ave. The JTL Shop is part of The Jones Center, located west of the Center’s main campus on Emma Avenue.

Presented in English and Spanish (and partially in Marshallese), the exhibition is set out across 5,000+ square feet of street-facing space at The JTL Shop and grouped in two galleries: the Hall of Fame Lobby and the Survival Gymnasium with The Challenges. The Survival Gymnasium is where guests can conquer real-world challenges, from surviving an avalanche and jumping safely from a moving train, to picking a lock, scaling a wall, and detecting when someone is lying.

The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Experience provides essential instructions with everything guests need to know to conquer the challenges. Guests rely on their tinkering and decision-making skills to approach extreme situations with ingenuity and test their knowledge in fun, creative ways.  The exhibition, which has toured major cities across the U.S., is based on the internationally best-selling “The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook.”
