AN IMMERSIVE ARTS EXPERIENCE: LIVE PERFORMANCE FOR CHILDREN
+Erba: A Forest in the City is an interactive show for kids & families that invites us to activate our senses in new ways. A digital theatrical environment responds to the actions of the professional dancers from Italy’s Compagnia TPO and children from the audience who are invited onto the stage floor. Together, the dancers and children explore, move, “paint” and play, creating a city that grows in dialogue with their activity. Combining architecture – houses and streets, color and light – with the living environment – grass, trees and insects – the dream of a green city comes true.
Compagnia TPO is the world’s foremost pioneer in interactive performance media for all ages –melding astonishing digital imagery with multi-disciplinary performance techniques using music, dance, art, sculpture, digital media, computer technology, lighting and sound. Visual, emotional, tactile and immersive, Compagnia TPO’s creations use digital design to create interactive scenery, and all sets become “sensitive environments.” Dancers and audience members share the stage, as you experience the continuous crossfades between art and play.
