THE MOST LOVABLE CHRISTMAS VILLAIN OF ALL:

THE GRINCH COMES TO WALTON ARTS CENTER

Rediscover the magic of Dr. Seuss’ classic holiday tale in How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical when it comes to life on the Walton Arts Center stage November 12-17!

More than 2.1 million theatergoers across America have been delighted by this heartwarming holiday musical, which The New York Times praised as “100 times better than any bedtime story.” The Record hailed it as “an awesome first Broadway musical for kids” and Gannet Papers raves, “For a family on a holiday-season outing, it’s the right ticket.” It’s the perfect chance to remind your kiddos about the true meaning of Christmas and “you might find your heart growing a few sizes, too” (Associated Press).

Max the Dog narrates while the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is "two sizes too small," decides to steal Christmas away from the Whos, an endlessly cheerful bunch bursting with holiday spirit. Little does he know, there’s more to Christmas than The Grinch bargained for…

The musical features hit songs "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas” from the original animated series, set alongside the timeless story, magnificent scenery and costumes inspired by Dr. Seuss’ original illustrations. With this “bright, tuneful, neatly packaged expansion of the book,” your family will be transported to the whimsical world of Whoville (The Record).

As a special accommodation for individuals on the autism spectrum or those with other sensory sensitivities, Walton Arts Center is offering a sensory-friendly performance of The Grinch on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 1:30pm. Designed to create a more comfortable and inclusive environment, this performance will include modifications such as fewer loud noises and flashing lights, relaxed house rules on noise and movement, a quiet area for those who may need a break during the performance, and more.

EVEN MORE HOLIDAY CHEER! The same week Walton Arts Center hosts The Grinch on stage, they will also be opening their annual Winter Nights holiday pop-up where families can gather before or after the show Thursday through Sunday from 6pm-midnight to enjoy twinkling lights, festive décor, scrumptious food & beverages and memorable activities for kids & adults to make spirits bright! Winter Nights lasts from Nov. 14-Dec. 21 and is the perfect place for merry-making with friends and family.
