Campers will spend the week at the Apple Seeds Teaching Farm in Fayetteville, AR, gardening, harvesting fresh ingredients, and making delicious recipes inside our Teaching Kitchen. Through hands-on activities, students will be connected to the garden and will be inspired to prepare healthy meals at home.
They will learn valuable skills such as how to care for a garden bed, wash fresh produce, how to read a recipe, how to measure, how to safely chop foods, and how to taste-test to improve the flavor of a dish. Campers will also learn nutrition basics. A healthy morning snack will be provided each day for campers, along with a full lunch that the campers will prepare themselves. We will build their confidence, knowledge, and skills to keep them cooking long after camp!
The Kids' Table is for children aged 7-12 years old and it takes place from 9-12:30. Cost: $195
