Kids Fiber Art Camp for kids ages 7-14
July 15 - July 19, 10am-2pm Daily
$125, includes lunch each day (Scholarships available)
Fiber Camp will be held in Fayetteville at the Folk School of Fayetteville (207 W Center St).
Learn from local fiber artist and community organizer Abby Hollis how to transform wool straight off the sheep into beautiful finished pieces! At Fiber Camp, students will observe a professional sheep shearer, wash and dye wool, spin yarn on drop spindles, create miniature weavings, and needlefelt unique designs. Our hope is that, by gaining a better understanding of the fiber supply chain, students will not only gain new skills but also gain a new appreciation for the textiles in their everyday lives.
Scholarships are available for families who receive SNAP Benefits, and discounts are available for families who plan to enroll multiple children in Fiber Camp. Please reach out to info@ozarkfolkways.org for details
