Description

Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park's upcoming Halloween event, "Night at the Museum," will take place on Saturday, October 28th from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. * This is a new event for the park; we are taking a different approach to the traditional "Haunted Battlefield." There will be a few "spooky stations," but the event itself will fall under a "fall festival" category.

Night at the Museum will feature "living historians" bringing Prairie Grove Battlefield's history to life before your eyes! Our exhibits will come to life after dark, as you enter our museum and historic homes to see Civil War surgeons; meet Mrs. Morrow; hear Ozark ghost stories; play pioneer games; sip cider-- eat popcorn, and more! Other activities include crafts and a cake walk! You may even be able to meet Civil War generals and talk to them about the battle that was fought here on December 7th, 1862.

Free stations on park grounds include:

Ozark Ghost Stories in the Latta Kitchen
Civil War Medic in the Latta House
Cake Walk in the Latta Barn
Popcorn and Cider at the Band Stand
Donut Tree, craft, and Pioneer Games activities

We will also have living history actors roaming around the area outside the museum.

Admission: $2 Adults; $1 children age 12 & under.. Admission is for the Museum part and the rest of the stations are free.

Free parking will be located behind Hindman Hall Museum
