Notes regarding time
2 sessionsDescription
Little Sprouts is a weekly botanically-themed program for preschoolers. Each week we read stories, sing songs, and do fun crafts and activities. Whether we are learning about how bees are more helpful than harmful or exploring the garden with handmade binoculars, the children leave the garden with a real appreciation for the world around them and a new desire to protect it. Our participants range in age from newborn all the way up to our five-year-olds who haven’t yet started Kindergarten. Not only does our program serve the little ones in attendance, but also the adults who bring them. Each week we try to offer a program to our families that will leave them with the inspiration to take what they have learned and apply it in their homes.
For our 2021 sessions, we will meet socially distanced in the open air of the Garden, each Wednesday morning from May through October.
We will have two sessions: 1) a 9:30 am program designed with our littlest sprouts in mind (ages infant to 2 years old), and 2) a 10:30 am program geared toward children 3-5 years old. Guests are welcome to attend whichever session they like and siblings are welcome.
*This program is completely free for garden members with a Family membership. For non-members, there is no admission charge for children 3 and under. Admission for children 4 and older is $5, and $10 for adults accompanying the children.
