Cold, Dark, and Safe @ Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park

Description

Join the park interpreter as she shares the stories of the local families who sought shelter and safety in the Morton House and Cellar during the Battle of Prairie Grove on December 7, 1862. This program will be held at the Morton Hayfield Battlefield Overlook, stop 11 on the Driving Tour, and will last around an hour. Following the program, visitors are welcome to walk with the park interpreter 0.25 miles down the road to the Morton Homesite.
