I have always loved helping others and I enjoy chatting with people and getting to know them. So when the opportunity arose for me to work as a Papa Pal, I knew this sounded like something right up my alley — flexible hours, simple scheduling, and a chance to truly make a difference for others.
Now that I've been working part-time the past few months as a Papa Pal in our local area, I can tell you that working as a companion caregiver for Papa is a great way to give back and make a positive impact in your community. You don't need any medical experience since Papa tasks are non-medical.

- Driving a woman to and from her doctor's appointment, and kept her company in the waiting area.
- Driving a man to and from his doctor's appointment and keeping him company in the waiting area.
- Assisting an elderly woman with technology by teaching her how to save contacts in her cell phone, how to install an app, and how to access her email account.
Companion caregiving with Papa is a 100% flexible role – you choose when you work and how often you work. With school just starting back, this is a great option for moms or dads who are wanting to work only while the kids a re in school.
Companion caregivers–called Papa Pals–help many people. They offer companionship and support to older adults and families. Papa Pals have the satisfaction of knowing that their work makes a positive difference in the lives of others.
Papa pay is hourly, plus mileage and bonuses. Papa Pals in Arkansas earn a base rate of $13 an hour, plus bonuses. Many Papa Pals earn close to $20 an hour with bonuses. The app is simple to use and tracks mileage for you — you simply click a button when you begin the commute and when you arrive. Once you're there, you click the "start visit" button to log your hours.
There are no formal qualifications needed to be a companion caregiver for Papa. If you’re often described as caring, friendly, and reliable, you already have some of the most important qualities of a great caregiver! You will need to provide Papa with documentation such as an ID (like a driver’s license or state ID card) and proof of car insurance if you plan to provide transportation. Papa will also run a background check (at no cost to you!).
